A San Diego PETA activist claims that she has efficiently impregnated herself with the semen of a gorilla with the hope of saving the endangered species.
Molly Heather, 23, a former biologist on the San Diego Zoo, claims she took lots of of specimens of semen of the animal whereas at work and tried to impregnate herself unsuccessfully for a few years.
Heather claims she was unsuccessful till she realized she may use in-vitro fertilization (IVF), the method of mixing gorilla semen with gorilla eggs to create an embryo, and efficiently impregnate herself.
“For a few years, I attempted rubbing gorilla sperm on my vagina with no success, till I noticed I might be a surrogate mom to the animal, utilizing gorilla semen and eggs by in vitro fertilization,” she advised reporters.

Some specialists have denied the claims as a hoax and a “bodily impossibility” claiming that the embryo could be rejected by the human host’s immune system.
